WhatsApp Launches It's New Feature For Android Beta Users
The most popular instant messaging app on the planet, WhatsApp is back in the news with another interesting upcoming feature in its kitty. WhatsApp Launches It’s New Feature For Android Beta Users. WhatsApp will allow users to add up to three participants in a group video call. Yes, you heard it right. Initially, this feature will be available for Android users. Whether or not this feature makes its ways to iPhones and Windows Phones, only time will tell.
It should be noted that in October last year, the feature to have WhatsApp group voice calls feature was spotted, on the 2.17.70 beta WhatsApp update. The earlier reports have stated that the messaging app which is owned by Facebook will launch the feature sometime this year. Earlier this month, WhatsApp announced that the app is used by more than 1.5 billion active users, with over 200 million monthly active users in India. WhatsApp can be accessed to over 50 different languages across the globe and has support to at least 10 Indian languages, WhatsApp has slowly become a new means to communicate in the New India.

What does the new Beta Feature add?

According to WABetaInfo, upon the release of this feature if you are in a video call with a person then you will get an Add Person icon in the top right corner of the calling screen. As of now, it is not clear whether this feature will work with voice calls or it will be limited to video call only. But it will be nothing short of interesting to engage in a video call with all your favourite people at the same time.

WhatsApp Adding Group Call Feature
Earlier, some reports were suggesting that WhatsApp will be adding group voice calling feature like Hike Messenger, but the addition of members in a video call will be an interesting feature and will also increase the video calling usage on the platform. And with this feature, WhatsApp will be looking to compete with Skype as well.

WhatsApp adding tonne of variations

WhatsApp’s ‘delete for everyone’ feature lets people recall sent messages within seven minutes of sending them. The feature is not limited to text messages as it works for photos, videos, GIFS, contact cards, etc as well. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is said to be working on the ability to edit sent messages as well.
Recently, WhatsApp launched its ‘WhatsApp Business’ app on Google Play Store for small businesses for better communication with the customers in India. that being said. Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that WhatsApp has now 1.5 billion active users who are exchanging up to 60 billion messages. Out of those 1.5 billion 200 million are Indians which clearly shows how popular the app is in India. WhatsApp is also testing WhatsApp Pay and an all new WhatsApp Stickers feature currently.

Earlier this month, we have reported about the inclusion of WhatsApp Sticker Packs Store in one of the Android beta updates for WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo, the latest 2.17.443 WhatsApp Beta brings few new features apart from the regular bug fixes. Firstly, this new update includes a hidden string about the group voice call and group video call options. As of now, the group calling options only supports up to 3 callers.
On Facebook’s Messenger, the group voice calls support up to 50 callers. and group video calls support up to 6 callers. By the time Facebook bring the group calls option to WhatsApp, we might see the increase in the limit of callers. There is also a new feature called “Show all contacts” in the contacts section in settings for enabling to show the hidden contacts. As we said earlier, Facebook will soon offer stickers for WhatsApp users.
Now, the latest update shows the stickers similar to what we see on Facebook. Unlike GIF’s, these stickers will be available in different sections. The option to use stickers will be found between the emoji and GIF’s. Coming to the WhatsApp groups, the admins of every group will get an option to quickly view the list of all the admins of any particular group. WhatsApp currently has more than 1.5 billion monthly active users worldwide and 200 million monthly active users in India.
Recently, the company also confirmed that WhatsApp is the second most popular story-sharing product next to Facebook-owned Instagram. The users on WhatsApp are said to be exchanging 60 billion messages every single day. Facebook also launched the WhatsApp Business app in India for the small and medium enterprises. It is also rumored to bring the UPI-based payment service within the WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is one of the widely used messaging platforms across the world. Recently, it was announced that the platform has over 1.5 million monthly active users. The Facebook-owned company is rolling out many new updates to the platform in order to enhance the user experience. However, it has been missing one feature that is available in many other similar platforms and it is the group video calling support.
