Now "Google now" lets you book hotels and flights right from search results , II Now you can book your flights and hotels through Google search results

Google has been improving its search engine to make it easier for travelers to find flight and hotel fares for a while; it’s now going a step further with an update that lets you book travel and accommodation straight from your search results.
That negates the need for visiting separate travel portals, and folks who just need to quickly book rooms and hop on a flight will certainly find it handy. The update comes just a week after Google began using AI to predict flight delays before airlines.

First off, you’ll find an option in Google’s flight search to look up hotels for your destination, complete with pictures and a map view to spot accommodation by location and price.
Alternatively, you can start your search with hotels or destinations instead of flights; all the information and listings you’ll need will be available in tabs when you’re browsing on mobile.
And if you use Google’s excellent Trips app on Android or iOS to bring all your travel details into one place and plan your vacation, you’ll find a tab for that too; it’ll show you all your reservations on the search page.
With that, Google is looking to steal your attention away from travel booking and review sites; you might still want to do your research there, but the improvements to the search engine make it easy to complete your ticketing in a pinch. The updates will roll out over the next few days in select countries.

Google recently announced that it has made changes to the way people can book flights and hotels through its search results. The changes are in a bid to make travel booking on smartphones easier, a report on Verge said.
Commenting on the changes, Google director of travel product management Eric Zimmerman said in a statement: “We’re evolving the way our hotel search works on smartphones to help users explore options and make decisions on their smallest screens. The new hotel search experience includes better price filtering, easier-to-find amenity information and the ability to book right from Google.”
When searching for a flight on Google Flights, users can choose the “Hotels” tab on the top and can scroll through search results for properties with images, and swipe through them without having to leave the results list. Users can also filter options based on dates and prices and book through the search results list too, the report from Verge added.
The same applications applies for the flights when searching for hotels. Users can click on the “Flights” tab and book when they’re ready to fly, the statement from Google said.
Another option on the tab is “More Destinations”. The option allows users to explore other destinations, weekend getaways and trips users might be considering. Another new feature includes “Your Trips”. Users can access upcoming and previous travels through their Gmail on the search results. This feature is private but can be shared with family and friends and also edited offline through the Your Trips app.
Verge believes the changes manifested from Google realising that people rather book on their phone while they are on-the-go, than make time to book on a laptop or a desktop. Additionally, when adding last-minute changes, users prefer to not open multiple windows and apps to finalise bookings, the report added.
Google search is one of the most useful tool on the web and it has added new features such as hotel and flight search to expand its use case. Now, Google has announced that it will also allow users to make hotel and flight bookings directly through Google search results.
With the update, users can scroll through search results for hotels that include photos and swipe through those photos without having to leave the list of search results. There will also be an option to filter with date and price from the results page and users can book directly through Google. Earlier, Google would redirect to the service provider’s website to continue booking.
In the case of flights, the bookings work similar to that of hotels with same filtering option. While searching for flights, users can now see similar filtering option and ability to book tickets directly from the search result. Google says it will also make it easier to switch between flights and hotels with a new tab layout. In order to determine the best hotel and flight option, Google has added an option to search by destination.
Google search users can click on the “More Destinations” tab to see suggestions on nearby trips for their original destination and Google will show additional services along the way from companies approved by the search giant. Google says the new search results will be most effective on mobile devices, where people plan and do booking for their travel.
The update also brings a new feature called “Your Trips” that lets users to see all their upcoming and past travel reservations from Gmail at a glance. The results are, of course, private and will only be visible to you. Your trip reservation can be emailed to friends or family right from Your Trips section along with option to make edits. These trip details can also be accessed offline with the Google Trips app available for Android and iOS.
The new features further simplify the experience of planning your travel and the update makes the overall experience of booking flights and hotel more integral and useful part of travel planning.
