Moreover, this new update now brings description for WhatsApp groups, which will let people know more about what the group is for and what topics can be discussed there. Not only the description will be visible to the existing members of the group, but it will also be shown to a person who is viewing the group’s invitation link.

The team behind WhatsApp has introduced the latest WhatsApp Android 2.18.120 beta in the Google Play Beta program and the newest version of the app brings a whole lot of amazing features including high priority notifications, dismiss an admin feature and the ability to send double stickers.
According to WABetaInfo, some or most of these features may not be available on your Android smartphone as they are still in beta mode. The developer preview allows developers to test bugs, fix any glitches before these features find their way into the full official version of WhatsApp.

Ability to Send Two Stickers at Once

The concept of double stickers may sound fun and nifty to young users but business people using Whatsapp may not find it as useful like some of the other new features found in Whatsapp Android 2.18.120. The double stickers feature is found in the beta and the screenshots posted below should give you a good idea of how they would look on the WP interface.

Dismiss an Admin Without Removing them from the Group

WhatsApp provides users the option to create groups so that everyone can receive the update at once. While the group considers the person who creates the group as an administrator, there is an option to promote any user into a group admin. The feature makes it easier to have multiple admins onboard to monitor a group but if you are to remove one of them as admin, the only option was to remove them from the group. With the latest update, dismiss an admin feature has been introduced.
The feature allows you to remove a user from the post of a group admin but they can continue to be a member of the group and receive updates.

Add Location Sticker to Your Images, Videos or Gif

The beta version of WhatsApp also allows users to add a location sticker and there are two different styles available at the moment. You can choose to add the location sticker and stamp it on any video, image or gifs making it easier to know where it was taken or created. The location sticker may make WhatsApp sound more like Instagram or Snapchat especially when there are other similar features like double stickers introduced in the latest beta.

Automatically Pin High Priority Notifications

When users have a requirement to have their most important notifications automatically pinned to the top, high priority notifications should come in handy. The feature is spotted in WhatsApp 2.18.117 which allows messages to be brought to the top of your confirmation and keep them there like how pins work. The notifications feature works on both individual chat windows and for groups.
The ability to dismiss an admin is available in WhatsApp beta on iOS and Android while some other features were found only in the Android version. They are expected to eventually make their way to the iOS version soon.
