The image showed the new Realme 2 from the front and the back. There wasn't any accompanying information and the image didn't lead to a dedicated page for the device. The only thing accessible was the image on the homepage along with the tagline "A notch above".
Oppo Real me 2
While that's not much to go on, the image does give us a few ideas as to what to expect. For one, the display now has the popular notch indicating a shift towards a more "bezel-less" design. Next, the camera on the back is now a dual sensor system, unlike the single camera on the back of the Realme 1. Lastly, the Realme 2 also has a fingerprint sensor on the back, a feature that was missing entirely on the Realme 1.

Much like the Realme 1, the Realme 2 also has a geometric pattern underneath the glass back. The phone in the image was shown in two colors, a black and a blue.
From the images, the Realme 2 looks remarkably similar to a bunch of Oppo phones, including the Oppo F7 and the recent F9, albeit with minor differences. This leads us to believe the Realme 2 could also have the same MT6771 Helio P60 processor as these phones (or Realme 1, for that matter), along with a 6.23-inch 2280x1080 display and 16+2MP rear camera, although that's pure speculation on our part.

The Realme 2 is expected to be priced under INR 20,000 ($285), with the exact pricing yet unknown. We don't have an official release date yet. We will update as more information is known.
Realme, a company that started out as a sub-brand of Oppo, could soon launch the successor of the Realme 1. The brand made its debut in India earlier this year with the Realme 1, a phone that saw quite a bit of success and is among the best-selling phones on Amazon India right now. Realme India CEO Madhav Seth confirmed earlier this month that the company will come out with a Realme 2 and we now have our first glimpse of the device after it was briefly put up on the company's official website before it was taken down

The Realme 2 will come with a notch, which is not at all surprising anymore considering every Android OEM is adopting the trend this year. Oppo already has a few notched phones in its bag and it's obvious that Realme designs its phones with some inspiration from Oppo phones which is why the Realme 2 looks similar to the Oppo F7. The image posted on the website shows the front and back of the Realme 2. The front will have a more bezel-less display compared to the Realme 1 thanks to the notch, while the back keeps Oppo's signature diamond-pattern design.

It also looks like the Realme 2 will get a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a feature that was missing on the original Realme. Another upgrade is the dual rear camera setup as opposed to the single camera on the Realme 1. Apart from the image and a tagline that read "A notch above" nothing else is known about the device as of now. We can assume the Realme 2 will be powered by a Helio P60 chipset much like the Realme 1 and the recent Oppo F9.
Realme is a brand that was created to offer impressive design and hardware at a far more affordable price. The company is focusing on delivering phones that fall between the Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 price segment. While we're still a while away from the launch of the Realme 2, one can assume that the phone will be priced competitively in India and perhaps close to the Realme 1. We can expect Realme to start teasing its next phone soon enough.

Recently, Realme's new Global CEO and former Oppo VP Sky Li announced that the company will now function as an independent unit in India and will work separately from parent company Oppo although the two brands will continue to share the same manufacturing unit.
The Realme 1’s list of specifications includes the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with the Mali-G72MP3 GPU, 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM with 32GB/64GB/128GB of storage, 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160×1080) IPS LCD, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, and a 3,410mAh battery. It ships with Oppo’s ColorOS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. In terms of value, the Realme 1 offered incredible value as its base 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant had a price tag of just ₹8,990 ($128). The 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant and the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant cost ₹10,990 ($156) and ₹13,990 ($199) respectively.

In July, Realme revealed that the Realme 1 has sold 400,000 units in 40 days in India. The 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is still sold via flash sales, via the 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants are available via an open sale. Realme has also stated that it will roll out the Android Pie update to the Realme 1.
The Realme 1, therefore, is only three months old, but an official render of the Realme 2 was leaked on Realme’s website. The render was titled “A Notch Above,” which confirms that the Realme 2 will have a notched display. Dual rear cameras are also visible, which will be an upgrade over the Realme 1’s single rear camera. The phone will have the same diamond-pattern design as the Realme 1, and the render shows that at least one of the color options offered will be blue. In terms of design, it looks quite similar to the Oppo F7 as the phone has a notched display and has a similar diamond pattern on the back. As of now, it’s unknown whether the back will be made of fiberglass or glass.

Interestingly, the official render shows that the Realme 2 has a back-mounted fingerprint sensor. One of the major flaws of the Realme 1 was that it skipped on providing a fingerprint sensor, leaving users only with software-based face unlock (said to unlock the phone in 0.1 seconds). The Realme 2’s fingerprint sensor will be a welcome and much-needed improvement for both security and convenience.

The leaked render has now been taken down from Realme’s website, along with a leaked retail box image of the Realme 2. GSMArena was able to download the box image before it was taken down. The leaked retail box image proclaims the Realme 2 branding, with no mention of the Oppo logo. However, it’s probably to expect the Realme 2 to run Oppo’s ColorOS user interface just like the Realme 1.
Realme 2 leaks
We expect to learn more about the Realme 2 in the coming weeks.
Just this morning, Realme teased its upcoming smartphone Realme 2 by putting a poster on the official website. The Oppo sub-brand launched its official website earlier today featuring the Realme 1 and ‘accidentally’ leaked the poster of Realme 2, which was soon taken down. Speaking of leaks, we now have the image of the retail box of the Realme 2.
The leaked image surfaces a few hours after the company teases the Realme 2 on its website via a poster. There is no detailed information on the device other than the fact that it exists and will be announced soon. Now that a new website has been launched, we are hoping that the company is preparing the launch of Realme 2.
Realme 2: Leaked Poster

The ‘accidentally’ or ‘deliberately’ uploaded poster on the Realme website revealed only the upper half of the device, accompanied by a text that read, ‘A Notch Above’. The poster was taken down soon after it was seen on the website. So, either the company was just not ready to reveal the device just yet or it was actually put there to tease the fans. Either way, we have a little idea of what to expect from the device based on the glimpses.
The new Realme 2 poster on the official website revealed a small notch, a dual rear camera in a horizontal setup, a taller display design, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that was missing in Realme 1. Furthermore, the device seems to feature a diamond-cut rear panel finish which is identical to that in the Realme 1. The poster showed the smartphone in a blingy blue shade, so we are sure of one color variant of the upcoming device. Since the device is to be placed in the mid-tier price segment, it is not expected to feature any significant improvements. But we are expecting the device to be a slightly upgraded version of Realme 2. The hardware of the device is expected to match what’s under the hood of Oppo F7, but we are also hoping that the company surprises us with a better and faster chipset.

Going by Slashleaks, the device will launch on August 26 in India and will sell for somewhere around Rs. 19,000.
