Razer's new wireless gaming mouse is super light because it doesn't have a battery , II Razer announces a wireless mouse that needs no battery, only a mousepad , II Razer Mamba HyperFlux Gaming Mouse: Wireless, Battery-Less And Self-Charging

Razer has been rolling out some very nice gaming peripherals for years now, and at CES 2018 the company has unveiled a wireless mouse that needs no cord and no battery to operate. The mouse is called the Mamba HyperFlux and it works in conjunction with the Razer Firefly HyperFlux mouse mat. These two products are the first to use the Razer HyperFlux technology that allows the mouse mat to create a magnetic field that transfers power directly to the mouse.

This means as long as the mouse mat is plugged in, the wireless and battery-free mouse gets all the juice it needs to operate. Razer says that this allows the Mamba HyperFlux mouse to be as light as a corded mouse, but eliminates gamers having to deal with that cord while playing.

"While other companies have attempted to do wireless charging for mice, they have been unable to achieve true wireless power as their mice still need a battery to be charged. HyperFlux Wireless Power Technology is a game changer in the world of wireless gaming," says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. "Gamers are no longer held at the mercy of a battery or cable. Instead, there will be true wireless freedom with a cordless gaming mouse that’s the same weight as a wired mouse."
The Mamba HyperFlux mouse uses Razer's Adaptive Frequency Technology (AFT) for improved signal strength. The mouse can search for and switch to the strongest signal within the 2.4GHz band, while the optical sensor inside the mouse is a 16,000 dpi 5G unit.
The Firefly HyperFlux mouse mat has RGB lighting around the perimeter and is dual sided with a hard side and a cloth side for flexibility. Lighting effects are powered by Razer Chroma and have 16.8 million color options. The Razer HyperFlux wireless hardware combo will launch in Q1 2018 and will sell for $249.99.

Razer Unveils Hyperflux Wireless Charging Mousepad

Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, revealed the world’s first battery-less wireless gaming mouse, that will give a new battery-free wireless gaming mouse experience to its gamers. The new mouse and pad combo from Razer allows the mouse to be charged simply through a connection with the pad.
The two products are Mamba (mouse) and Firefly (mat), which utilize the Razer HyperFlux Wireless Power Technology. Razer says the new technology “allows the mouse mat to create a magnetic field that efficiently transfers power directly to its companion mouse instead of charging a heavy battery.”
The Razer Mamba HyperFlux and the Razer Firefly HyperFlux are Razer’s first products to be equipped with this revolutionary technology.
“While other companies have attempted to do wireless charging for mice, they have been unable to achieve true wireless power as their mice still need a battery to be charged. HyperFlux Wireless Power Technology is a game changer in the world of wireless gaming,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “Gamers are no longer held at the mercy of a battery or cable. Instead, there will be true wireless freedom with a cordless gaming mouse that’s the same weight as a wired mouse.”

The Razer Mamba HyperFlux is also equipped with Razer’s proprietary Adaptive Frequency Technology (AFT) and 16,000 dots-per-inch (DPI) 5G optical sensor for “superior signal strength”. When the pad is connected, the mouse will never lose charge.
Both are equipped with Chroma lighting technology, and are capable of unique customizable lighting profiles and in-game effects. Further, the Firefly HyperFlux mat, the latest in Razer’s RGB mouse mat line, features dual-sided hard and cloth surface to allow flexible playstyles. Further, a cable will also be included with the Mamba mouse in case people want to use it without the mat, Razer noted.
The Razer HyperFlux wireless hardware combo will sell for $249.99 / € 279.99 and is available on RazerStore.com and through select retailers in Q1 2018.
At CES this week, Razer showed off its new flagship wireless gaming mouse: the Mamba HyperFlux. Razer's goal for this mouse was to create one of the lightest high-performance wireless gaming mice available. In order to do so, it cuts something that seems like an important component: the battery.
How does it have power, then? The Mamba HyperFlux works with a new HyperFlux-branded version of Razer's Firefly mousepad. The Firefly and Mamba connect via a magnetic field that transfers power directly to the mouse, aka wireless charging. Without a heavy battery to charge, the Mamba HyperFlux weighs in at only 96 grams, lighter than the 107 grams of our favorite wireless mouse, Logitech's G900 Chaos Spectrum. That weight puts it in line with some of the lightest wired mice favored by pros, in the ~90 gram range.
In addition to this wireless power solution, the Mamba HyperFlux uses the same adaptive frequency technology found in Razer's Lancehead. It also features a 16,000 DPI 5G optical sensor, nine programmable buttons, 1000 Hz polling rate, and Razer Chroma lighting.
The downside to the new power solution is that the Mamba HyperFlux loses power if you move it away from the accompanying mouse mat for more than a few seconds. It's really meant for a stationary high-end desktop situation—not for carrying with you on the go.
The Mamba and Firefly HyperFlux will be sold as a combo for $250, available in Q1 this year.
