Just in time for Monster Hunter: World’s beta test demo, Capcom released a new trailer that goes over just about every aspect of the game, from the story, to characters, to fields and monsters, and weapons.
Amongst all the information in the video, Capcom showed off the Tetoru, bipedal creatures like the Felynes who are native to the new continent. Tetoru can be negotiated with through your Felyne, and they will teach your Palico tricks, such as how to ride small monsters.
Monster Hunter: World is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26, 2018. A PC version is due for release later.
Capcom has released a lengthy introduction video for Monster Hunter: World ahead of its beta, which you can check out above. The video’s in Japanese but gives you an idea of what to expect. As soon as the developer releases an English version, we’ll make sure to share it with our readers.

Don’t forget that the beta kicks off on December 9, at 9am PT/5pm GMT/6pm CET. Here’s what you can expect in terms of Quests and Rewards:
Quests: The beta features 3 quests across 2 environments from the game. In the Ancient Forest, you can hunt a fierce yet beginner-friendly Great Jagras or as a more experienced player confront the mighty threat of an Anjanath. In the Wildspire Waste, a massive, dry expanse with swamplands, you can face off against the intermediate level mud-slinging Barroth.Rewards: In addition to an unquantifiable amount of fun, complete each quest and you’ll get some useful bonus items in the full game! Just make sure you use the same Sony Entertainment Network account for both the beta and the full game.

Capcom has released all the details of the Monster Hunter: World beta, which will be held exclusively on the PlayStation 4 for PlayStation Plus subscribers from Dec. 9 to Dec. 12.
Monster Hunter: World, the long-awaited return of the creature-slaying franchise to consoles, will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 26.
'Monster Hunter: World' Beta: Here's Everything We Know
In an official Capcom Unity blog post, Capcom revealed that the Monster Hunter: World beta will start at 9:00 a.m. PT on Dec. 9 and end at 8:59 a.m. PT on Dec. 12, for three whole days of hunting. Players can preload the beta starting Dec. 8, so they can start playing as soon as possible.
In addition to a PlayStation Plus subscription, PlayStation 4 owners will also need 5.9 GB of free space on their hard drives.
Capcom confirmed that there will be three quests available in the Monster Hunter: World beta. The first two missions will be in the Ancient Forest, where beginners can try to hunt down the Great Jagras while more experienced players can look to take down the Anjanath. The third mission is in the Wildspire Waste where players can traverse the swamplands to do battle against the Barroth.
Players can choose to do the quests on their own, or they can team with three more hunters online. There will also be 14 different types of weapons to choose from, each offering different play styles and can be switched around during quests and while at camp.
One new feature that will be present in the Monster Hunter: World beta is the Training Room, where players can try out the different weapons to choose the best one for them.
"Potions and other supplies will be provided on quests during the beta, but you'll have to fetch your own food and drinks outside the game for those long gameplay sessions," Capcom playfully wrote.
The Monster Hunter: World beta will not only give players a glimpse of the massive open-world environment of the game. Completing the missions will give players bonus items that they will be able to use once the full game launches in January next year, as long as the same account is used.
What Else Do We Know About 'Monster Hunter: World'?
Capcom has also released an extensive trailer for Monster Hunter: World. The video is in Japanese, but it runs over nine minutes long and shows off the game's story, some of the major NPCs, its breathtaking environment, and several gameplay elements. The trailer also highlights the Great Jagras and Anjanath, which will be featured in the Monster Hunter: World beta.
Aloy of Horizon Zero Dawn will also be in Monster Hunter: World. Players who equip Aloy's armor set, which can be acquired through a future collaboration event quest, will make their character look exactly like the robot-slaying heroine.
