‘Detel D1’ mobile phone launched in Kashmir II Detel India launches budget mobile phone
Srinagar:The Indian mobile company Detel India has introduced mobile handset ‘Detel D1’ at a price of Rs 349 with most of the basic features in it.
The phone is a feature phone which has 1.44 inch of Monochrome Display. The phone has single SIM facility and it is powered by a 650 mAh battery.It has Torch Light, Phonebook, FM Radio, Speaker and Vibration Mode too.
Addressing media persons in the presence of retail and wholesale dealers, the Managing Director of the company, Yogesh Bhatia said that the phone has been introduced in the state to reach out to the poor people.“Around 40 lakh people in India still don’t have the mobile facilty. We just want to give them the facility on affordable rates. They have limited income,”he said.
Bhatia said that at present, they are operating in 16 states.
“The average turnover of our company stands at Rs 110 crore. For the time being, our concern is our customers,”he said.
Bhatia said that the company is going to sign an agreement with the telecom ministry, Government of India(GoI).
“On 23 December, telecom minister Manoj Singh would be signing the agreement at Jaipur’s, Mariat hotel. We would be providing BSNL SIM, along with the mobile phone. The customers would get FRC of Rs 150 and 1 year validity,”he said.
He said that the company would be launching 8 more models in the near future.
Detel border was also launched, which is specially meant for the people of border areas.“The phone is a multimedia device, has dual SIM slot but has no camera, as the use of camera is prohibited in the border areas,”said Regional head,Sartaj Ahmad.
In addition, LED’s, battery banks and head phones were also inaugurated.
Detel is a brand of New Delhi-based company, S.G. Corporate Mobility Pvt. Ltd, which was established in 2007 and claims to have service centres across India. The brand made headlines in 2017 with the launch of the Detel D1, which it claims is India's most economical mobile phone at a price of Rs. 299.

Detel India Wednesday launched an budget mobile phone and LED TVs to fulfill the needs of the people belonging to Below Poverty Level (BPL).
Detel, a New Delhi-based Company, S.G. Corporate Mobility Pvt. Ltd, launched its first phone (D1) on 15 August 2017 and claims to have around 300 service centres across the country.
The price of the phone starts from Rs 349 in which company have offered many features.
Detel has 15 more mobile phones which are available in the market at a very low price.
On the launch ceremony, Managing Director (MD) Yogesh Bhatia of Detel told reporters that the company doesn’t sell mobile phones only for margin purpose but to fulfill the demands of people who are still unconnected with the rest of people.
